What is available for electricity in my space and what rules are there?

LIGHTING

Using accent lighting in your space is one of the most impactful improvements you can make. Chandeliers, track lights, spotlights, colored LED lights, and lamps are paramount in attracting customers to your space. You will have access to at least one electrical plug along the top of the wall in your store that you can use for lighting. This power feed will be on an automatic central timer and turned on and off according to store hours.

We recommend that any lighting you use in your space is LED due to its energy efficiency.  We share some examples on our Vendor Resources Page.

CAMERAS

We have an entire closed-circuit camera system installed in the facility with 30-day DVR recording.  However, if you want your camera to monitor your space, you can do so.  We have free Wifi that you can connect to.  Remember that if you always want the camera on, you should consider one with a battery backup as all the power outlets are on a timer and turn on and off with our store hours.  If you only want the camera on when we are open, then an AC (plugged-in type) camera is excellent.   You can see some cameras that we recommend on our Vendor Resources Page.

POWER STRIPS AND EXTENSION CORDS

We want to follow all zoning and fire department laws and regulations.  As such, we can only allow one power strip per outlet, and items can be plugged into that.  You can not daisy chain multiple extensions into each other.  You are also not allowed any more than a 6-foot extension cord in your space.
