What are the guidelines with walls and structures within my space?

WALL DIMENSIONS

All walls are 8 feet tall, and partition walls are 4 or 8 feet deep.  The spacing between partition walls is set up in 2-foot increments.  All walls have rough pine trim around the base and perimeter.  

WALL DECOR

You are free to paint your walls and paint or stain the trim in your space as you see fit.  You can also use wallpaper or paneling in your shop if you choose.  We only ask that anything you put on your walls be removable.  So, if you use wallpaper, please use a removable peel-and-stick type and do not use glue on any paneling.  If you have any questions, please talk to our staff; we will help you. 

FLOORING

The flooring in most spaces is 140+-year-old pine that we restored and sealed with high-quality polyurethane. Many vendors might be delighted with this flooring, however if you wish to put carpet or another type of wood flooring down in your space you can.  Please be sure that any flooring you put down is removable without damage to the underlying floor.  Do not use nails, screws, or glue to fasten any flooring down.  Talk to our staff if you wish to change the flooring so we can assist you and ensure the proper trim has been applied along the aisle to avoid a tripping hazard. 

WOOD AISLE TRIM AND SIGNAGE

The trim on the face of each vendor space and the header trim along the top are the only parts of your space that you can not alter.  We are keeping that a unified color throughout the store.   In most cases, we can remove that trim for you while you paint your shop so you can avoid getting paint on it.  Please see our staff when setting up your space to help with this. 

Market Street Creatives will provide a text-based sign for each vendor on a black sign hanger that can be seen as you look down the aisles of the store.  This sign will hang about 7 feet above the floor on the right side aisle trim panel.  Additionally, MSC will provide a plaque on the aisle trim panel with a 2D barcode and store number.  Customers can scan this barcode and be taken directly to your landing page on the Market Street Creatives website. 

AISLES

We maintain an average of 6-foot-wide aisles throughout the store to keep the pathways comfortable for consumers to browse and comply with local fire and egress codes.  If you have something in your store infringing on the aisle, please talk to our staff to ensure it will not be a problem.
